2025 Kickoff

Thank you for the mentors and alumni that dedicated their time to be at our kickoff event! Earlier this week, our team celebrated Kickoff with enthusiasm and determination. The day started with delicious breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon) made by our advisor, Mr. Aguilar, and a few members. While we watched the announcement for this year’s game, many members noted how challenging yet interesting it seemed. Our members then presented the seniors with their “dive kits”, which were personally decorated bags filled with snacks they love. Members also got the opportunity to connect with our alumni and ask them questions about their experience. With the remainder of the time, members discussed strategies, awards, and an in depth overview of build season. As we strategize for this upcoming competition, here are some of our member’s thoughts and experiences!

Zoe, our operation member, expresses, “Since it is my first time experiencing kickoff, the game seemed really hard to me, but also really fun. I am looking forward to what our engineering member will come up with for our final robot! Also, kickoff was really fun! It was a new experience, but it was also a good bonding time for members.”

Additionally, engineering member Eric remarks, “This year’s game seems easy with the mechanics but the way they implemented all of the elements is very interesting and challenging. During kickoff, I really liked everyone’s energy and excitement for the game when the game was introduced!

“It is my first time experiencing kickoff, but I think that this year’s game has a pretty cool concept, and kickoff was really fun and was a nice time for members to bond with each other,” exclaimed Lorry, a publicity member.

Good luck on build season everyone.
