Last week marked the electrifying beginning of our build season. After kickoff took place, our team immediately began preparations for the upcoming season. Every member stayed dedicated and focused on their roles, contributing to the motivated team environment.
Jai Kankariya, one of our programming leads, gave us an insight into their progress: “Compared to last year, we are in a great place. Last year, prototyping took almost 2 weeks whereas this year, we are almost done in a week.”
On the other side, our business team divided and dived into preparations for upcoming events. Operations took on the task of booking hotels for our future competitions, outreach focused on the FTC competition taking place January 25-26th, and publicity created merch drafts to demonstrate our team spirit. Business members also began working on our STEM magazine and IMPACT awards as they will be accompanying our robot in competing at future FIRST Robotics Competitions.
"This is just the start, and we’re already seeing how our hard work is taking shape," said Kevin Fang, one of our Team Captains. "We’ve got a long way to go, but we’re ready for the challenge."
We’re looking forward to week two as we continue to refine, build, and push forward. There’s no doubt that our teamwork, drive, and determination will carry us through a successful season.
